I think the backstory overall is decent and there is some good ideas in there. My main concerns are the below
- There are a handful of Italian families already, I think another one isn't needed right now, there's an entire world of different ethnicities.
- How long before all of the ideas you have stop, and the faction becomes another run of the mill Italian faction, that we've seen over and over again.

Your concerns are totally understandable. Naturally, I thought the same when I was making an application. "There's quite a few Italian families, why would yours stand out?"
Primarily, I am basing my family off of how closely I can emulate the IRL mafia. I went with Italian because it is an extremely interesting form of organized crime that stands out from many other forms of organized crime. As it is now, most, if any families, don't actually replicate the Italian Mafia to the fullest extent and with details and realism that would be most similar to how the Italian Mafia operated in the eldest times.
Our family is open to all races and sexes, meaning that while we are primarily Italian-started, we are not going to be comprised of mostly Italians. It will be a mixture of different cultures and ethnicities, and a step more accepting than many of the current families that exist currently (which makes sense, given the time period and racial tensions).
Lastly, the ideas outlined in the application are not the full extent of the ideas I am working on currently. Where one idea pops up, another shall as well. I want to try out a host of different ideas to cultivate growth in the Passive RP and general interactions of players in the server. It is not just money laundering or arson for insurance, but also the formation of different businesses to bring in manpower and create new jobs; the use of litigation and diplomacy to solve issues, rather than violence; the incorporation of different races and (the other sex) to gain new and valuable viewpoints on leadership; the implementation of codes, treatises, authorities and responsibilities outlined in documentation and reinforced by strict discipline.
The differentiation of our family from others is not in the inherent ethnicity or origin of our story; but rather, in how our family develops. We intend to adhere by a policy and way of life that actually tries to capture how a crime family realistically would act in a given situation. My assertions here are to convince you that our family would benefit not only the interactions in the server, but also the roleplay aspects.
Thank you for your words, as there are new considerations for me to take in.

I've always thought of making an American Deadhead group. A gang of LSD users/distributors. To join you would have to take a thumbprint of pure LSD. Not many people were interested in it, if I had to guess why its because they wanted more Mafia's. We have enough of the other Ethnicities in my opinion, I want more Mafias in my Mafia RP
